Job Description:
Responsible for using a holistic approach to design and implement database that tracks across all programs and meets the information needs of program end users.

Specific duties include:

• Modify database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role.
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
• Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
• Monitor database performance, write change implementations and send to programmers to apply when required.
• Seek to understand programs, program goals, current performance, and the impact each program has on the organization and community as a whole.
• Write code description for data models to communicate the findings in an understandable way for recipients with varied learning styles across varied programs.
• Utilize the internal database to strategically develop and document services provided.
• Ensure accuracy of data through regular audits that result in process improvements.
• Create automated processes for data extraction, report processing, and distribution.
• Participate in operations meetings when attendance is requested.

Job Requirements:
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field and hands-on experience through work experience, internship, or academic coursework.

Experience must include:

• Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications.
• Knowledge of database design, documentation, and coding.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, HTML, Java, R or other programming languages.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders of varied cultural backgrounds.
• Hands-on experience working with database systems and excel formulas.
